【Knowledge】Improve the deterioration of cutting fluid and odor
In the processing of metal working, cooling and lubricity are important. That’s why lubricant becomes indispensable item.
Except selecting good quality of oils, the usual maintenance of management is also essential. In daily using, the most annoying problem for the processing industrial customers is the deterioration of cutting fluid, the rusting of the parts, etc. Here, we provide 5 tips helping you to solve the problems easily.
- The main cause of stench is that the cutting fluid contains a large amount of bacteria. First, when blending the cutting fluid, the consistence cannot be too low. We also suggest using pure water, avoiding groundwater. It can not only prevent bacterial growth, but promote lubricity.
- When the cutting fluid’s PH value is 8.5-9.5 ,bacteria will be inhibited. For the reason, we have to add new lubricants regularly to maintain the value and extend the life of the cutting fluid.
- During the processing, the oil leaking from the machine tool (for example, the skid oil and hydraulic oil) is mixed into the cutting fluid, which is easy to cause emulsification and bacteria. At this time, we suggest that it can be used with a filter such as a water-oil separator to remove the dirt in the cutting fluid. We introduce the high-efficiency centrifugal oil-water separator and chip removal machine, which can effectively filter the oil dust in the cutting fluid and the deposited iron scraps in the bottom of the machine to help customers effectively extend the life of the cutting fluid.
- Avoid bad habits of the operators, such as: littering cigarettes, garbage, food and other items into the cutting oil sink to cause pollution.
- Machine cleanliness and lubricants’ quality control are the very important part of maintaining the life of cutting fluid. When changing oil, the sink and machine should be carefully cleaned. If necessary, add appropriate disinfectant to improve. If it cannot be remedied, the quality should be replaced a better cutting fluid.
